Catch of the Day
A batik painting of an osprey catching his dinner in his claws. This is a common sight along the coastal shores of Nova Scotia.
I have spent many afternoons watching the ospreys dive down, and in one swoop, grab a fish from the sea and fly off with it to their nest.
For the sea spray and splashes, I splattered wax to convey spray in this painting.
