This was a commission. I was asked to do a batik painting of friend's father sharing his love of his model railway with his grandson. The grandfather had died, so the family wanted memories of him in his attic where the model railway track was housed.

As you can see, hanging beside him are a number of the plastic bags in which the grandfather stored bits and pieces. There are also model trains and model buildings on the shelves behind him.
