Picnic amongst the Reeds
A batik painting of Henley Regatta visitors, having a picnic lunch in amongst the reeds by the River Thames.
I was invited to exhibit at the Henley Regatta a few years ago, and took a photograph of these picnickers as inspiration for a batik painting. I was amused at how resourceful some of the picnickers were finding a 'spot' for their picnics.
