Still Life!

A batik painting on cotton fabric of a friend's cat. I particularly like the way the cat was so still and relaxed as she slept on her fur cushion.

I created this batik for an exhibition titled 'Still Life'. I know a cat is a living creature and is not theoretically 'still life'. However, as the cat was motionless and didn't move for a long period, I took artistic licence and called this batik - 'Still Life!' A double meaning!
