Sunset Spectacular
This is a batik painting on cotton fabric that I did of two boats sailing at sunset in Mahone Bay near Chester, Nova Scotia, Canada. One of the boats is 'The Virginia', an old 'Q' sailing boat.
I love batiking reflections, but in this painting I wanted to concentrate on the sky. I tried to capture the dramatic colours and stunning effects of the clouds at sunset. I was really pleased with the result.
