Beneath the Surface
This was a challenge to do as a batik painting. This batik took me a long time to do. In this picture I tried to capture depth in water with the reflections of the trees on the surface. There is something that is magical about reflections on water. Do you often look down into the water of a river or lake and suddenly discover life, nature and stones below. It can be very calming and meditative. I hope that I have managed to capture in this batik some of that magic.
