It’s so beautiful, I feel I could lose myself in it. You are indeed very fortunate in being so talented and thus able so give people so much pleasure in your art.

I just wanted to thank you for such a fantastic weekend batiking! It was great to meet you and other participants. I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to have a go, learn, practise and develop new skills. It was so lovely to work with you and other people in the group. It is always helpful to have other people’s reflection and critique and not to work in isolation. I really appreciated being able to discuss work with you and other people present. I feel extremely motivated to continue to develop my skills in batik and have already ordered procion dyes! I particularly enjoyed seeing all the examples of batik you have and learning about the techniques. - Given me lots to think about and explore.

I just wanted to reiterate how much I got out of the Bath Textile Summer School workshop. I enjoyed it enormously and thought it was a great group of people.  And your tuition was much appreciated.  Its inspired me so much that I’ve started looking into getting my own equipment and have already obtained some second hand cantings and kystkas.  Thank you so much for your patience.

I love the watery feeling of the batik. You have captured the wetness of the water and the shimmering light perfectly. I especially love the radiating rings from a drop of water in the lower left. Brava! It must be very exciting to be recognized as a “Fine Artist” in the fullest sense of the words!

I’m really excited about it our new batik painting (Peggys Cove Lighthouse) joining our Venice one which has been so admired. I can gaze at it for hours, imagining what is happening in the canal around the corner.

The batik painting looks really lovely! It really gives me pleasure. I enjoy the part where the trees meet the sky, and all the bushes at the left and the colours and everything - especially the house 'Bonny View'!

The first and most important thing is that we really love the rowing-boat print we bought from you at Standen the other day. Having spent hours shuffling other pictures... we've ended up placing it on a wall overlooking the dining-room table. So every time we eat, there it is, bobbing above us. It's a beautiful picture.

Thank you for giving us permission to publish your picture in a magazine for contemplative members of the Society of St Francis. It will be used as a basis for a meditation.
