Catch of the Day
A batik painting on cotton fabric of an osprey catching his meal in his claws.
This is a common sight along the coastal shores of Nova Scotia. I have spent many afternoons watching the ospreys dive down, and in one swoop, grab a fish from the sea and fly off with it in their claws.
For the sea spray and splashes, I splattered wax to convey spray in this painting.
