Overlook, Front Harbour, Chester

A batik painting of 'Overlook', a beautiful house overlooking the Front harbour in Chester, Nova Scotia. I took a photo of it one morning when the sun was shining on that side of the harbour.

I love trying to capture reflections in batik. The house, boathouse and the boats with the surrounding trees, evoke a sense of calmness and reflection. I hope in this batik, I've captured the light and beauty of the scene.
