Amasek and the Dumaresq house
This batik painting on cotton was a commission. The children of Syd and Sandy Dumaresq commissioned me to create a batik of the family sailing boat - Amasek - and the family house in Chester, Nova Scotia, Canada. Both the house and boat are distinctive. The boat is approx 40 feet so I had to be careful that it didn't dominate the painting as it sailed into the foreground.
