Sunset Spectacular
The original batik painting is on cotton fabric. It is of two boats sailing at sunset in Mahone Bay near Chester, Nova Scotia, Canada. One of the boats is 'The Virginia', an old 'Q' sailing boat.
I love batiking reflections, but in this painting I wanted to concentrate on the sky. I tried to capture the dramatic colours and stunning effects of the clouds at sunset. I was really pleased with the result.
