Hayseed IV with Spinnaker
A batik painting of The Hayseed IV (a wooden Q boat built in 1911) sailing with it's spinnaker in Mahone Bay during Chester Race Week, Chester, Nova Scotia, Canada.
The Hayseed IV was some years ago restored by the Wurts family and is raced every summer in the Classic Boat Races. I have crewed on the boat many times.
I made this batik of the Hayseed IV to celebrate its centenary anniversary in 2011.
