This is a batik painting of sailing boats rafted together after the Prince's Inlet race during Chester Race Week in Nova Scotia, Canada. This was the Saturday Race where everyone sailed down the coast from Chester to Prince's Inlet near Lunenburg. Traditionally the boats were rafted together near the Marina so people could celebrate after the race!

I took this 6" x 4" photograph many years ago. It was a real challenge to create this batik of the reflections of the masts and boats in the water, but I'm really pleased with the result.
