A batik painting of two houses - the 'Crooked Sixpence' and 42 Duke Street, overlooking the Front Harbour in Chester, Nova Scotia. 42 Duke has been enlarged and renovated over the last twenty years. 'The Crooked Sixpence' was built over 100 years ago and has kept its character.

I love trying to recreate reflections of houses and boats in batik. I took a photograph of these houses one spring. What inspired me were the muted colours that one can see at that time of year.
