Every Spring I love walking through the many bluebell woods in Sussex, UK. This is a batik painting on cotton of a quiet bluebell glade.

Trying to capture the beautiful purply-blue colours of the bluebells in a batik can be difficult, as the variation of tones of colour in the bluebells are more vivid in real life. However, I have done a number of batik paintings of bluebell woods over the years. They remind me of the beauty of Spring in the UK.
