This batik painting is inspired by the old black and white photographs of spinnakers and boats by the photographer, Morris Rosenfeld. His spinnakers are strong and forceful, propelling the boats forward. Spinnakers are usually very colourful, so I have transformed one of his black and white photographs into this batik painting.
